Where did July go....?
I swear yesterday was July 4th! Between settling into a new position at work, vacation, family here to visit, and parties, July has been a blur. Crazy heat hasn't helped so I've spent more time indoors than I like. But its almost August and as long as Mother Nature cooperates I intend to go to the beach a few times and have several car shows in mind to check out.
Vacation was spent out in Indianapolis, IN and that city had so much more to offer than we expected. Went out for the NASCAR Brickyard 400 and had a great few days. Very cool checking out Indianapolis Motor Speedway, taking in the racing history, taking a selfie with my kid on the bricks, and watching one heck of a race. Downtown Indy was great for walking, both center city, and along the Canal Walk. Also checked out The Stutz which was the original manufacturing plant for the Stutz Motor Co. The complex has been turned into an awesome retail/office/event space and has a small auto museum - totally worth checking out if you are ever in the area. Plenty of pictures coming from all of it.
Beach
July 4th was spent at Brick's Summerfest checking out the concert and fireworks with a bunch of friends. I got some cool shots of the fireworks and will be adding some to my online portfolio. Speaking of that - I have been slowly revamping my website - trying to make it easier to navigate and switching out pictures. I have also started a Pinterest page and will be developing that more going forward.
Metal
Haven't hit as many shows/cruises as I had hoped for but did manage a few. Highlight was a trip out to PA for the Hot Wheels Legends Tour where we got to see the Midas Monkey Corvette and the Twin Mill along with some really cool builds.
Looking forward to the Windward Beach and Crystal Point shows as well as Full Send Fest and of course The Asbury Circuit. (Our Firebird will be there soon!)
